How can I drum up business for a brand new classified ads website?

August 20th, 2009

I created a new website for classified ads and posted some "fake" ads just to see how the site worked. My question is how do sites like craigslist and other classified sites begin soliciting business? No one wants to post to a site that is empty? I’d love all responsible suggestions. Remember it is in it’s very early development but visit www.countymerchant.com

you need to submit your site to search engines to get it to show up in searches. use http://www.submitmysite.biz/ to submit to about 200 different search engines for a small fee. this is much faster that going to each search engine and applying one at a time. I like the looks of your site. Once you start getting people to visit, you should be a success.
